Fitting Superheroes & The Work Of Bobby Jain

By Robbie Sutter

There are many different aspects that help to make the work of Bobby Jain stand out more than others. Amongst them has got to be intelligence, which was something that I thought about when it came to the many superheroes in the realm of fiction. Many seem to focus on the typical superpowers - flying, super strength, and what have you - but what about intelligence? There are quite a few characters that, in my opinion, would be suited for this type of business.

In fact, one of the best names that I can consider for the work of Bobby Jainwould have to be Tony Stark. The one who is better known on a universal scale as Iron Man has showcased a tremendous wealth of intelligence, which goes without saying considering that the first Iron Man suit was constructed by him with only raw materials. In addition, his personality, while somewhat sarcastic, has a sense of charm that can be picked up on. Perhaps Stark can work well alongside names the likes of Jain.

While I initially thought about the Hulk as being intelligent for the appearance possessed, I decided that Hank McCoy was a more fitting choice. Keep in mind that McCoy - known as Beast from the X-Men - is not someone who can hide behind a human body. Instead, he is someone who had to cope with the idea that those in the everyday world would look at him differently because of his appearance, blur fur and all. However, that did not stop him from possessing the utmost knowledge on the matter.

Keeping the focus on X-Men, perhaps the most learned character in comic book history has got to be Charles Xavier. It isn't enough that he has Ph.D.'s in psychology, genetics, anthropology, and many other fields, even though these certainly help. The fact that he holds 16 different honors at Harvard University goes to show that his level of intelligence is one that no comic book character will be able to replicate. Then again, no one could expect anything less from the founder of the X-Men.

I believe that there are many characters to consider in the realm of comic books. To me, this goes to show that the Marvel brand is not the only one to consider and that there are others which possess superheroes that can be considered super smart as well. The ability to utilize cognition in order to take on any threat is, in my opinion, far more interesting than anything that involved brute, physical force. I'd like to see more comic book characters solve various issues with the presence of mind alone.
