Vacation Lodging: Hotel, Rental Homes In Warren MI Or Condo

By Joyce Cole

Let's face it-we probably don't have the fondest feelings towards vacations rental homes. It's not because they have anything wrong with them, but rather the fact that they don't seem to be the cheapest things in the world. However, you may not realize it, but you can get a lot of discounts on a vacation rental home if you just know the time that you should rent. But, even if you don't get a discount in the Rental Homes in Warren MI, they have quite a few perks that you definitely won't get a hotel.

What you are required to do is figure out about how long you will plan on staying in the house. From there, figure out what you can afford for rent and utilities. Be fairly strong in staying with the amount for your budget, but do not sacrifice the safety of your family.

There just isn't any way around this. With a vacation hired home, you don't end up stuck on the floor without any covers or with someone's foot in your ear. In many cases, there are enough rooms for everyone, without any stints on the floor. Not to mention that you aren't nearly as crowded as you would be in a hotel.

It might be hard for your family to know that they might have to move again in a couple of years. It makes it difficult for the wife to settle and be at home, and it makes it difficult for the kids to make a place their own.

For those of you with the "Continental Breakfast" defense, think about this: You have to get up at six or seven am, with one hour, to go and get a breakfast that may cost you nothing. But everyone who has been there has gotten the opportunity to and probably has touched over half of the food (after all, a lot of choosy people are going to be going through so that they can find the best pieces, morsels, etc).

However, there are several similarities between hired homes and condos. Dollar for dollar, condos, and hired houses beat hotel rooms by a long shot. Condos and hired homes will always have a full kitchen. Eating in is a lot cheaper than dining out for every meal during your vacation. You'll save money by loading up on groceries early in the week and cooking at least two meals a day.

Vacation rental homes also provide a lot more privacy. Let's face it-do you want people knocking on your door trying to get into the wrong room (on accident, of course) or to have to hide your head under your pillow in an attempt to not hear the loud pounding music that easily permeates the walls?

Rental homes often are less thought about and planned for than houses bought outright. Many times, renters are far more willing to simply let go of some of the key features they need because they do not plan to remain in the property for a long time. When it comes to buying the property, you probably would spend more time finding the perfect location. It would need specific features and amenities, not to mention the right size and location. Be picky when renting, too. You can often find far more than you thought and get it for a fair price.
